Amusement parks are great places to spend some time with friends or family, but not all the experiences found in these parks are meant for the faint-hearted. When we're on the go, adventure parks aren't usually at the top of our to-do list. But, while we were in Thailand, we were like, "Why not give it a shot?" I mean, how intense could it really be, right?
Well, we were wrong. An experience that's supposed to thrill you, ended up ruining the rest of the day - until we came across Good Noodle - World's Largest Self Service Ramen Shop. Keep reading to find out all about the rides.

Can I Eat in Dream World Bangkok?
Yes, there are many eateries and snack shops in Dream World Bangkok including a KFC. Prices are pretty similar to shops you'd find outside so don't fret too much. You won't have a huge appetite in the first place by the time you've done a couple of thrill rides.
What to wear to Dream World Bangkok?
Wear comfortable. We suggest shorts and T-shirts. If you want to wear jeans or denim, that would be fine but do not wear dresses and long flowy clothes, you'll surely regret it. You can pack an extra change of clothes if you're trying out the water activities or even Snow World.
Does Dream World close during Rain?
No, but most outdoor activities will be on halt. We went in November during which evening rains were common. Luckily we tried the rides in the mid-afternoon. But we couldn't take the cable car ride due to rain. So keep an alert on the forecast.
How long do you need at Dream World Bangkok?
You would need at least 5 or 6 hours to complete the entire tour with healthy breaks. If you begin in the morning, you can schedule another experience for the nighttime - perhaps exploring Street food or visiting Union Mall - as we did.
To knock your shoes off! - Hurricane
You can check out a live-action video of Hurricane in Dream World Bangkok that we shot!
But we must say, the experience left us shaken. And the most hilarious part is opening your eyes to see yourselves meters above ground, the blue sky and shoes flying over your head. (not ours, but someone did lose their shoe on that wild ride)
A Milder Voyage with Viking
Built in the shape of a Viking boat, Viking in Dream World is a milder version of the Hurricane. It just swings sideways gradually increasing its speed. It's a bit of a vanilla ride and it gives you just the right amount of thrill and doesn't scare you much.
We didn't really enjoy it as it didn't give that heart-pounding punch.
Next, we went to the Rollercoaster.
Sky Roaster to stir things up
Known as Sky Roaster, this ride is the bomb in Dream World. Everyone lines up to try it so the crowd is beyond comprehension. There will surely be a queue and make sure you find the right queue so you don't waste more time on top of the time you spend in the queue (fun fact - we were at the wrong queue for about five minutes after the Viking ride. Oops!)
Nevertheless, it took us about 25 minutes to try out a 5-minute rollercoaster ride. Was it fun? YES. Was it worth it?.. NO. If you have tried rollercoasters before, this will not thrill you at all so give it a pass.
By the time the roaster had further roasted us in the sun, we were dehydrated and hungry and our adrenaline levels were skyrocketing. I wanted to chomp on a hotdog but my better half set his eyes on yet another ride.
Tornado - The last straw
This was said to be the wildest most aggressive ride in the whole park. My mind and body couldn't bear another ride but I did it anyway.
Here's a live-action we shot of the Tornado in Dream World - https://www.youtube.com/shorts/hwZOPlktwoQ
The fact that it spirals while it swings side to side is a major no-no for those with motion sickness. Unfortunately, I have motion sickness and imagine feeling your stomach in your mouth when the ride hasn't even reached its peak. I thought I'd pass out and a few did.
Right after it was over, I practically ran to a bench nearby and just flopped down completely. I was feeling so nauseous, and believe me, it was way too intense and I did not enjoy it!
Super Splash
You know what they say about water parks being unhygienic as they don't renew the water as often as we'd expect. Well, we didn't want to take a risk on our visit so we didn't try Super Splash. It would be fun if you're travelling with family and kids, but remember to bring a spare change of clothes.
How many rides are there in Dream World Thailand?
There are over 40 different experiences but the 5 rides mentioned above are the highlights in Dream World. Even though some of those rides might look a bit intimidating, a lot of them are actually made for kids. But hey, if you've got a sensitive heart, it's probably best to skip them.
Should I try all the rides in Dream World Bangkok?
A tricky question. Yes and No. It totally depends on your ability to cope with the huge rush of adrenaline. It WILL leave you exhausted and shaken a bit throughout the rest of the day, but it's a great experience. If you're a daredevil, go for it!
Here's what you should do in order to enjoy your trip to Dream World:
Make sure you go there on a sunny day. Most rides don't operate when it rains
Start early - Be there by 10 a.m. and check the show time slots. Certain shows happen only a few times a day and if you're not aware beforehand, you may miss out on them.
Try Hurricane in Dream World before mid-noon to avoid the scorching sun.
Take healthy breaks between thrill rides to avoid being sick to your stomach.
Eat a good breakfast, you may not be able to have a proper lunch.
Take loads of photos. Don't forget the iconic misty Dream World picture! (The best time to take it is Evening)
And lastly, just Enjoy!
Transport from Dream World
Dream World is located in the remote, industrial side of Bangkok's Thanyaburi District. It's a few kilometres inside from the main road but don't worry, they have transport that will take you to the main bridge from where you can hail a taxi, find a bus or metro.
Dream World or Siam Park?
Siam Amazing Park also known as Siam Park is an amusement park with more water-related recreational activities. They do have some exciting coaster rides but it's well known for its water park. It even won consecutive awards as one of the best water parks in the world.
Dream World on the other hand mostly consists of whole experiences including themed activities and shows. They also got a Snow World with real snow for which you have to pay separately. Dream World can be classified as a more educational yet thrill-park.
If we were to choose, we would choose Dream World over Siam Park as we are not big on water parks. But if you really want to chill with family or friends, Siam Park would be a good experience.
Booking Tickets To Dream World Bangkok
You can buy your Dream World tickets from the counter on-site. If you're a foreign national, you have a separate counter where you can get a complete entry pass that allows you to visit all the places within the premises (apart from Snow World). It just took us 5 minutes to get the entrance pass.
